Biography

Scott Kveton graduated with a bachelor’s in computer science in 1997 and is now the CEO of JanRain, Inc., the maker of user-centric identity tools and services. He is passionately focused on building successful teams and bridging communities. Kveton’s experience with companies like Amazon.com and Rulespace have given him a pragmatic understanding of the fast-paced IT industry. Kveton returned to OSU in 2001 to head up the Open Source Lab. He is an active member of the Portland Open Source Software Entrepreneurs organization and was named one of InformationWeek’s “Top 10 People to Watch in 2006.” Red Herring magazine also named him one of its “Tech Tots: 25 Young Rebels Who Will Rock the World.” Kveton was ordained via the Internet and has performed weddings for family and friends.
